Go Léir Women’s Group was set up in June 1998 by a group of women who had taken part in various self development and assertiveness courses run in Askea Parish Community Centre.

The name Go Léir is an Irish word meaning “all together” and the image that we use to represent this, are linked hands which is our group’s logo.

    Our aims are…….

To end exclusion and isolation, to enable each individual to become part of the community, to encourage each member to bring their own special gifts to the group for the benefit of everyone, to allow each person to share in the greatest gift of all……the gift of friendship.

    Our Vision statement:

“Go Léir Women’s Group pro-actively supporting women, through inclusion. By providing social and educational activities, in a fun, united and friendly environment”.
